1. Why are solar module colors inconsistent?
The color of solar cells is actually mainly affected by texturing.
The red cells are mainly caused by the low amount of corroded texturing. If the amount of texturing corrosion is less than 3, the damage layer of the silicon wafer will be incompletely removed, resulting in overall redness after PE coating.
As for the black and white cell, it can be divided into the following two situations, one is the immersion situation, and the other is the deviation of the corrosion amount between each channel.
The problem of immersion liquid is caused by the level of the front and rear rollers and the front baffle during the production process. When the silicon wafer enters the texturing tank, there is a time difference between the chemical liquid and the silicon wafer. In this way, the amount of corrosion in the area where the silicon wafer first contacts the chemical liquid will inevitably be higher than the area that contacts the chemical liquid later. The difference in the amount of corrosion will inevitably lead to inconsistent texture effects on the surface of the silicon wafer, and a certain color difference will occur after PE coating. In order to ensure the immersion effect, the rollers and baffles of the pile making tank need to be adjusted.
For polycrystalline silicon cells, dark blue is the most common color, while monocrystalline silicon is black.
Through process adjustment, the above-mentioned color deviation problem can be effectively solved.
2. Qualified photovoltaic modules also have color difference
Because of the use of coated glass, it is almost impossible to avoid this situation as long as the coated glass is used. The same batch of coated glass can't see the difference between the factory and the incoming inspection, even after it is made into a component, it can only be found after installation, under a specific angle and light.
Another possibility is the hydrophilicity of glass. During our experiment, we found that when using coated glass from different manufacturers, the hydrophilicity is different. In the event of rain, fog, or dew, the difference is quite large, so there are components. The phenomenon of inconsistent colors. Under normal circumstances, a slight color difference in the components is normal, but if there are multiple colors on one panel, the product quality is problematic.
When the general photovoltaic products leave the factory, each module has undergone strict inspections, and can be used with confidence.
3. Does chromatic aberration affect power generation and lifespan?
The use of photovoltaic arrays with inconsistent colors will affect the overall appearance, which is psychologically unacceptable for customers. The pure chromatic aberration of photovoltaic modules will not affect the power generation and lifespan.
The main factors that affect the power generation are flaws, such as cracks.
