Recently, Canadian Solar delivered the first batch of 700W TOPCon solar panel to solar distributors in the United States.
In a comprehensive technical assessment, Canadian Solar TOPBiHiKu6 (182mm silicon wafer) and TOPBiHiKu7 (210mm silicon wafer) series bifacial solar modules, boasting an industry-leading high power output of 700W, not only exhibit high power, efficiency, and bifaciality but also possess high reliability, quality, and lower levelized cost of electricity (LCOE). Additionally, the use of Canadian Solar' TOPCon7 series modules in solar energy systems resulted in a approximately 3.2% reduction in the levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) compared to conventional modules.
A thorough technical review of Canadian Solar TOPBiHiKu6 and 7 series PV modules was conducted, encompassing product manufacturing processes, system performance, reliability, compatibility, empirical generation data, and LCOE analysis.
The research report highlights that Canadian Solar' TOPBiHiKu6 and 7 series solar modules exhibit an industry-leading module efficiency of up to 22.6%, a low power temperature coefficient of -0.29%/°C, and a bifaciality of approximately 80%. These key parameters indicate that the expected electrical performance of TOPCon solar modules will outperform current mainstream crystalline silicon modules.
The technical research also examined various stringent reliability testing sequences, including thermal cycling (TC), damp heat (DH), and potential-induced degradation (PID) tests. The results indicate that module power degradation is below 2%, showcasing the outstanding reliability of Canadian Solar TOPCon modules.
